Yes, but please check our Calendar for Availability

What if I’m bringing more than 10 people, do we need a reservation?

If you are planning on just walking up, you might NOT find open spaces for all of you. I encourage that you call (210) 689-3063 or E-mail us at hauntedcastroville@yahoo.com and make sure there are open spaces or just secure your spots. Pre-payment applies.

How long is the tour?

The duration of the tour is about 1 ½ hrs and about ¾ of a mile. Bring comfortable shoes and plenty of water.

Are we allowed to enter any of the haunted buildings?

There is no guarantee that access to a haunted building will be available, especially after business hours. Some buildings are open to the public under regular business hours and can be visited on your own.

Is it OK if I just enter a building without permission?

No, trespassing is and will NOT be tolerated. The participant (s) will be asked to leave without a refund. Trespassing is prosecuted by law. Haunted Trails of Castroville respects private property.

Am I allowed to bring alcohol for the tour?

No, you are NOT. If you bring or consume alcohol during the tour, you will be asked to leave without a refund.

Are we allowed to photograph any of the haunted buildings?

Yes, you are allowed to take pictures and video only of buildings your guide says is OK. Only under special circumstances that property owners do not allow pictures to be taken. Your guide will notify you.

I have children who are very young for this kind of tour, but they have seen TV shows and already know about ghosts. Is it OK to bring them?

Haunted Trails of Castroville is a fun family oriented ghost tour. The tour is fun for children and spooky enough for adults. Nonetheless, you are the parent and the last word lies upon you.

I have family and friends who visit sometimes during the week, are ghost tours available on week days?

Yes, please make a reservation if your party is for 10 or more.

Will I be able to see a ghost during this tour?

Chances of seeing a ghost are much greater when visiting a haunted place…a place where others have had their encounters with ghosts. We cannot guarantee that you will see a ghost, but who’s to say you will not capture a ghostly voice or a ghostly image…you never know.

I am physically challenged and need my scooter/device to move around. Are these places equipped with handicap access?

Yes, they are. Help is always available with Haunted Trails of Castroville.

Will there be any equipment for us to use?

Haunted Trails of Castroville will provide EMFs, Geomagnetometer, Temperature Scanners, and Parabolic Microphones. Although we do not have plenty for each participant to use, we encourage that groups of two participants, team up.

Am I allowed to bring my own equipment?

Yes, you are. We only asked that you be careful using any equipment with laser beams.

Are there any restrooms during our tour?

Yes, there will be a 10 minute break halfway our tour for those needing to attend a restroom.

What if I made a reservation and paid in advance but I could NOT make it to the tour, can I get a refund?

No, refunds are NOT allowed for “no show-ups.” We suggest you call us and reschedule your tour.

What if I happen to walk up for the tour but don’t have cash just a credit card, can I pay with my credit card on the spot?

Unfortunately, we do not have such accommodation right now, but there are plenty of ATMs around the meeting place (Main Plaza).

What happens if the weather is extremely severe (rain, cold, tornado warning) and the tour got canceled and I already made a reservation, am I entitle for a refund?

Yes, you are entitled to a refund if the tour was canceled due to severe weather as specified above.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, but we do encourage you to have your pet on a leash at all times. If your pet exhibits aggressive behavior, you will be asked to remove your pet from the tour without the right to a refund.
